  2. CIP

  • Some relevant data points:
    • If any group under 60% in a focus area, we don’t meet a State System Safeguard and school needs to set a goal for school year
    • District provides target goals, potential errors should be caught by district
    • Will add intervention plan for each targeted focus area
    • Grade level plannings days and subject area committees activated to increase communication and address any target areas that need instructional attention
    • For example, to address STARR writing performance, all of 4th grade is increasing writing competence through daily writing homework

3. Kindergarten Benchmark Data from iStation

  • Kinder ranked 3rd in Area 1 schools for at-grade-level reading on iStation
  • Current Kinder class 72% on or above grade level at beginning of year
  • MTSS coach available to school to help make most use of iStation
  • Reading specialists are being training in DIBELS Reading Assessment with a plan to train all teachers

4. Living Tree School-wide Communication Tool

  • Zilker will do a beta test of using Living tree for the remainder of the 2017-2018 school year. The program can be viewed here  https://www.livingtree.com/
  • Can make classroom lists, other sub-groups as well as school wide, for reminders, notifications, planning and coordination
  • We will roll out the platform for campus-wide use in January
  • The cost is $3 per student, prorated, funded through PTA for this trial partial school year
