Want to Know What is Happening in the Art Room?

Zilker Art Class has its own blog!  If you want to see what students are working on, or just check out some “behind the scenes” photos of art projects in progress, go to http://zilkerelementaryart.blogspot.com/.

Or you can Google “Zilker Elementary Art” to find the page as well!

Plastic Container Caps Needed!

Colorful plastic caps of all sizes are needed for a recycled community art project.

I have a lot of white caps already, and clear caps will not work, but bright plastic caps of all sizes are needed.  Some examples are soda bottle caps, almond or nut container caps, juice bottle caps – anything made of plastic.**  Metal lids from jars will not work. Please rinse lids or caps, and drop off in the art room, or in my teacher box in the teacher workroom.

We will be creating a bottle cap mural on family night, February 5th, so your recycled caps will be transformed into art!

Thanks!

Jamie Pettit – Zilker Visual Arts Teacher

**students with nut allergies can work on the second recycled art project using cardboard.
