The Austin High Tennis Team is hosting its annual day camp for students grades K-5 on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 1PM-4PM. This is a school holiday for students. Please consider having your student join us. This is a great opportunity to try tennis or to get some instruction from the Austin High Tennis Team. This camp is our team’s main fundraiser, so we appreciate your support!!

There will be a free costume contest at 5:00 PM, so come dressed in your favorite costume and join in on the fun. The costume contest is for every one of All ages. Tell all of your friends to dress up and come join in on the fun of the free costume contest.
There will be free Orchestra performances by the following orchestras: Martin Middle School, Austin High School, O. Henry Middle School, Clint Small Middle School, Barton Hills Elementary School, Bryker Woods Elementary School, Mathews Elementary School and Pease Elementary School.

Also, there will be lots of food, games, live music and a Haunted House. Tickets will be sold at the event for $1.00 each.
If you would like to purchase tickets in advance for food and carnival games, the Ticket Value Packs are now on-sale. For purchasing in advance, you get two free tickets. The deadline to get your tickets in advance is Friday, October 17th.
If you are interested in Renting a Booth for this event to promote your club or business, fill out the Booth Sign-Up Form and turn it in by Friday, October 17th @5:00 PM. Please, No Food or Drink may be sold at the booth.

The annual Austin High Baseball Clinic has been rescheduled to Feb 16th. See attached brochure for details and registration process. 3rd thru 5th graders welcome!
On Saturday, January 11, 2014, 4th and 5th graders are invited to attend String Camp, a fun discovery-style event where campers will try several string instruments and explore the basics of how to play a particular instrument. Registration begins at 9am and camp begins at 9:30am. The camp ends after a mini-concert at 3pm, when parents can listen as the campers perform a piece they will learn during the day.
No previous experience is necessary. The camp will be taught by the following directors:

- Priscilla Arasaki, Small Middle School, Barton Hills Elementary, and Bryker Woods Elementary
- Carrie Miller, Small Middle School
- Lisa D. Smith, O. Henry Middle School, Mathews Elementary, and Pease Elementary
- Fidencio Solis, O. Henry Middle School
Registration includes instruction, snacks, lunch, and a t-shirt. The cost of the camp is $10 if registration is received by December 20; $15 if registration is received between December 21 and January 6; and $20 if received the week of camp, including the morning of January 11. Week one (December 9-14) benefits the Austin High Theatre program, while week two (December 16-21) benefits the Austin High Orchestra program. Looking for a short adventure for your children on Monday, November 11th (Student holiday)? Send them to the Annual Maroon Grand Slam Tennis Camp. Students (grades K – 6) will receive an Austin High cinch-sack and enjoy an afternoon of tennis, games, drills and fun at this camp run by the AHS tennis players (and some parents).
