Zamboree wristbands/tickets will be on sale this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!

Zamboree is THIS Saturday, but you don’t have to wait until Saturday to buy your wrist band ($20) and/or tickets.  We will be selling both mornings and afternoons on Wednesday, 10/19 through Friday, 10/21.  We accept cash, credit cards or checks!

We will sell wristbands/tickets in the front lobby from 7:30a-8:00a starting Wednesday, 10/19 through Friday, 10/21.

In the afternoon, we will be selling near the park benches next to the playground (by the library) from 2:45p-3:15p starting Wednesday, 10/19 through Friday, 10/21. 

 

Zamboree is almost here!

You’ve seen the flyers, you’re hearing the buzz… Zamboree is almost here! Zamboree is Zilker Elementary’s annual school fall carnival. This year, it will be on Saturday, October 22nd, from 12-4 PM. Tickets and wristbands will be on sale Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before the carnival as well as the day of.  Wristbands are $20 and Tickets $0.50.  It is at Zilker and it is super fun!

This year look forward to:
Human gyroscope.
Inflatable mazes & slides.
Dance floor for kids to boogie down.
Hat Creek burgers
and veggie burgers.
Roppolo pizza.
Snow cones from Kona Ice and Flavolicious.
CAKE WALK!!
Carnival games and prizes.
Face painting.
Human Foosball.

If you haven’t done so yet, please sign up to help your class run their booth.  Plus, sign up to bring a cake (or cupcakes or bread loaf) for the bake sale!

This year we are asking for our artistic Zilker parents to volunteer for face painting time.  Below is the sign up for anybody interested in face painting. Paints and paint brushes will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own too.

Hello all,

Zamboree is 4 weeks away!
Please come to our next meeting, October 3rd, 7:50am, to get updates and further planning.  We still need more volunteers.  Feel free to join, no commitments except to bring your smile!

Zamboree Poster Contest!

One more day to work on your Zamboree Posters!  Please pick up your 11″ by 17″ poster sheet from the front office.  Posters should be your child’s original design of what makes Zamboree fun!  Posters need to include the following information:
  • Zilker Zamboree
  • October 22nd 12-4pm
  • Wristbands $20
  • Tickets $0.50
  • Student’s name and teacher on the back of poster

Posters must be turned into Ms. Petit’s art room by Tuesday, September 27th.

All posters will be displayed around school.  A winner from each grade will be chosen on Friday, September 30th.  Free wristbands and ribbons will be awarded to each winner!  An overall winner will also be chosen to be displayed on the front bulletin board and to be used on Zamboree flyers!!

Let the creativity begin!!

Zamboree Committee Meeting

The Zilker Fall Carnival, Zamboree, is less than 2 months away, and there is a lot to do!  Please join us at our meeting, Thursday, Sept 8 at 7:50am.  We will meet in the cafeteria.

Please bring your ideas and your smile!  After all, it’s for the kids!

Zilker Zamboree

The Zilker Zamboree fall carnival is just around the corner!  Saturday, October 17th 12-4pm.  Wristbands will be sold for $20 and will be your pass to ALL games and booths!  Individual tickets will also be available for 50¢.  Wristbands and tickets will be for sale Thursday the 15th and Friday the 16th before school as well as at the carnival.

Bring the family and wear your costumes for a fun-filled afternoon including local food, bounce house, hamster balls, box maze, face painting, pumpkin patch, cake walk, games for ALL ages & MORE!  A big thank you to the businesses who have donated to make our event great:

Whole Foods • HEB • Home Depot • Callahan’s General Store

***A Note about food at Zamboree***
We have not been able to secure a lot of options for food at Zamboree this year. There will be pizza by Rockin’ Tomato and snow cones from Flavalicious. Please know that you are welcome to bring your own snacks or pick up lunch on the way if these options don’t work.
***Face Painting***
Volunteers Needed! We will have face painting this year and a few parents have already volunteered to help out with face painting. We need 5 more parents that are willing to paint faces for 1 hour! The face painting team will decide on a few different simple designs that the children will choose from. Please let  Jen Caudle know if you are interested. Jen’s email is: Jennifer.L.Caudle@gmail.com
***Bake Sale***
This year we are asking for bake sale donations to be cupcakes or small bags of 2 to 3 cookies or similar dessert. The committee is trying to stay away from whole cakes. Thank you for your help!!

What a Great Zamboree!

Thank you to all of you who were able to join us for Zamboree on Saturday, October  18th. We want to thank all of the room parents & volunteers who gave their time to help make it a success. With all of your help it made the event a lot of fun for all.

We’d like to give a very special thank you to Stephanie Richardson and Vera Muniz who planned and executed the event with grace. Stephanie makes chairing Zamboree look easy! Vera coordinated the many volunteers of the event without blinking an eye. Thank you both!

Get Ready for Zilker Zamboree!

Saturday, October 18th 12-4pm

Important Things to Know:

This year we are skipping the raffle basket fundraiser! Remember last year when room parents were asking you to go out and get a Lego set, art supplies or gift cards for your class basket? Not doing it this year thanks to our no hassle fundraising to provide technology for Zilker! Please donate that $15, $25, $50 or what you woulda spent on basket items to the Zilker Fund: We Are Zilker instead! 100% of your donation goes toward our URGENT need to upgrade technology. Please donate now!

Don’t forget to sign up to volunteer for a 1 hour shift from 11 am-12 pm or 4-5 pm.  Email Vera at verax2@hotmail.com or sign up for your class booth, look out for an email from your room parent!

Advance tickets & wristbands will be sold starting this Wed. Oct 15th in the morning at front doors. Wristband for big attractions (i.e barrel train, jumpy house, hamster balls, obstacle course, box maze) is only $15 for unlimited play!

Bring cakes for cake walk to the cafeteria on the day of the event!  We’ll see you there!

Mark Your Calendars! Zamboree is 10/18!

Calling all Zilker panther families! The Zilker Zamboree, our annual fall carnival, is Saturday Oct. 18th from 12-4 pm. We’ll have a bounce house, box maze, hamster ball, cake walk, food trucks, games & more! A few things to know:

    • Tickets for attractions will be on sale at the event!
    • Wanted: Cake Walk goodies! Please bring cupcakes, cookies, or even a whole cake, to the cafeteria on the day of the event.
    • Tie Die is BACK – There will be shirts for sale but please feel free to bring your own!
    • Special thanks to SeVana Mirimba Band, LoneStar Soccer, CoolHaus, Rockin Tomato, Flavors of the Bayou, and P. Terry’s for coming out and supporting Zilker!
